Frequently Asked Questions
Every plan except Enterprise includes a monthly allowance of AI credits that resets at the start of each billing cycle.
Each AI reply spends credits based on the model it runs on:
- GPT-5.1: 1 credit per message
- GPT-5.4: 2 credits per message
- GPT-5.5: 4 credits per message
Your AI credits reset at the start of each billing period. As you near the limit, Quickchat AI emails your account admins warnings at about 75%, 90%, and 100% of your allowance.
If your credits run out, your AI Agent stops generating replies and shows anyone who messages it a short notice that it's currently unavailable, until the allowance resets. You can restore service right away by upgrading from your subscription settings.
Quickchat AI Agents can run on different language models:
- Standard model (GPT-5.1): the default, included on every plan. It works for most use cases.
- Advanced models (GPT-5.4 and GPT-5.5): more powerful, raising response quality for AI Agents that handle complex instructions, AI Actions, MCPs, or large Knowledge Bases.
You can switch to an advanced model anytime from the Identity tab on any paid plan (Starter and up).
It depends on your plan and the number of User licenses it includes. Each User license is a seat for one team member to access and manage your AI Agent.
Higher plans include more licenses, and Enterprise offers a custom number of seats.
Knowledge Base Articles are the individual entries you add to your AI Agent's Knowledge Base to train it. Every source you add becomes one article, whatever its type:
- text you write or paste
- a web page imported from a URL
- an uploaded file, such as a PDF or document
- a YouTube video
- an article imported from Intercom
Each item counts as a single article, so importing 10 URLs and uploading 3 files counts as 13 articles. Your plan sets how many articles the Knowledge Base can hold, and you can add, edit, or remove them at any time.
Two options, switchable with the toggle above:
- Monthly: billed month-to-month.
- Annual: billed once a year at the price of 10 months, so you get 2 months free (a 17% discount).
Yes. The Free plan lets you add an AI Agent to your website at no cost and without a credit card. It includes:
- 50 AI credits per month
- 1 User license
- 50 Knowledge Base sources
Enterprise is usage-based:
- From $0.50 per resolution
- 2,000 resolutions per month minimum
The subscription agreement is tailored to your volume and specific requirements. Get in touch and we'll put together a custom quote.
- Confirmed Resolution: after the AI's last answer in a conversation, the customer confirms the answer was satisfactory with an affirmative response (such as "Ok thanks", "That helped", etc.) or via the conversation rating survey.
- Assumed Resolution: the customer finishes the conversation without requesting further human assistance (no human handoff).
